Follow-up on VoIP

In case anyone is still reading, I did eventually go with AT&T CallVantage. There was a bit of a problem at first with the sound quality, but once they diagnosed it as a faulty adapter, they sent out a new one overnight and it's fine. I've had it for almost two months, and I love it. I was able to forward my home phone while I was on vacation; I can set do-not-disturb hours (even set a regular schedule); get my voicemail messages emailed to me; all kinds of cool stuff. Their phone tech support is available 24/7, and are in general very knowledgeable. And the unlimited monthly plan is 50% less than my old local/long distance package. I would recommend it to anyone looking to switch to VoIP.

Goodness, Esther, I've been skipping over these posts twice a day for two days. I just saw "VoIP" at the top and thought I'd read it before. The words "Follow up on" didn't register at all until just now.

I'm sorry to hear that things haven't been going well. I suppose the reasonable and human thing to do would have been to get in touch with you and see how you were doing, even if it was just a blog slippage thing. What can I say? I don't have a particularly high EQ.

I hope you and Waldo both get well soon.

Wow! I can't believe anyone's still reading... I was never all that established to begin with.

Not only haven't I been writing, I haven't been reading too much, either - there are about a gazillion posts I haven't gotten around to reading on various blogs. I did catch up on yours; I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling too well, either. Waldo's back is doing much better - maybe you'd like the number of his surgeon? :o)

You know, I'm starting to think that a vet might not be such a bad idea.

Yeah, I've been dropping by and didn't see any lights on. I never thought of knocking or ringing the bell. I've had time to read quite a bit, but that's 'cuz I'm just mostly immobile. You've been sick 'n' worried -- that's a whole 'nuther kettle of fish. For that, some slack will be cut by any and all who know you.

I agree with Stan. Popping over and just seeing the VoIP entry, I didn't think that there was anything new. My mistake. Glad to see you back. And if you need Thin Mints, just let me know. :-)
